Meet the Doctors

Dr. Bob Bacon
Dr. Bob Bacon is a highly accomplished chiropractor with an impressive educational background. He obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Life University in Marietta, Georgia, in 2003. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, specializing in athletic training, from Washington State University in 1999.
Originally hailing from Puyallup, Washington, Dr. Bacon has been serving the Marietta area with dedication since he received his doctorate degree. His primary mission is to provide natural wellness solutions to as many families as possible. Dr. Bacon is passionate about educating his clients on how to lead vibrant, energetic lives full of exceptional health, free from sickness and disease. His practice revolves around creating a loving, compassionate, and supportive environment, where clients not only regain their health and vitality but also learn how to sustain it.
What sets Dr. Bacon's practice apart is his total wellness philosophy, which focuses on optimizing both body and mind for a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Emphasizing the integration of body and mind functioning optimally, he embraces a holistic approach to chiropractic care.
One of Dr. Bacon's distinctive strengths lies in his "Total Body Assessment" technique for chiropractic adjustments. Through a comprehensive neurological evaluation of the neck, spine, and extremities, he quickly identifies any neurological function or weakness that may require an adjustment. This approach enables him to accurately pinpoint the cause of pain, dysfunction, or limited range of motion, and his clients experience noticeable improvements following each visit.
Additionally, Dr. Bacon has extensively studied Clinical Nutrition and its role in supporting the body's vital systems. His expertise lies in functionally identifying the specific nutritional needs of individuals and how they relate to overall bodily performance. Utilizing holistic methods like Systems Strength Analysis, blood work, saliva testing, and hair analysis, he helps his clients understand patterns of dysfunction and their relation to dietary habits. Dr. Bacon is well-versed in a wide range of nutritional supplements that bridge the gaps in the typical modern diet, producing profound results.
Moreover, Dr. Bacon has expanded his training to include Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), a remarkable method that addresses energetic weaknesses caused by emotional memories within the limbic system. By guiding clients through focused sessions and tracing the body's responses to verbal or physical suggestions, he aids in the release of negatively stored energy, promoting optimal function.
Dr. Bacon's commitment to continuous learning and his passion for holistic wellness make him a truly exceptional practitioner, dedicated to helping his clients achieve their highest level of well-being.

Dr. Travis Bassett
Dr. Travis is originally from Littleton, Massachusetts. He was first introduced to Chiropractic back in high school, but did not become interested in the profession until he began playing football at Bridgewater State University in 2014. As a team benefit, the University provided chiropractic care to all athletes every other week. In hopes of gaining an edge on the field, he began receiving consistent care. Soon after, he noticed functional improvements both physically and mentally.
This experience led to an increase in performance, not only on the field but in the classroom, as well. It profoundly shaped the way he viewed health and athletic performance as intertwined with optimal nervous system function. And it prompted him to immediately enroll in Life University’s Chiropractic program that Fall.
Dr. Travis would later go on to complete his chiropractic internship at East Cobb Spine and Sport Chiropractic under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Bacon. Here, he honed his skills and learned the “Total Body Assessment”. The TBA is a comprehensive neurological evaluation of the neck, spine, and extremities, that identifies functional weaknesses due to subluxations.
After graduating from Life in September 2023, Dr. Travis officially joined the East Cobb Spine and Sport team. He fully embraces their mission, to “provide motivated individuals the nutritional tools and chiropractic services they need to overcome their health challenges and achieve an optimal state of health.” He is eager to serve and provide his expertise to the East Cobb community, so they can continue doing what they love.
Outside of the office, you will likely find him at the gym or playing basketball, staying active in all his free time. He also enjoys sporting events, the beach, Marvel movies, and country music!

Dr. Sam Goepper
Dr. Sam is excited to return to East Cobb Spine and Sport Chiropractic, bringing his skills, experience, and passion for care back to the community. As a former intern at the practice, Dr. Sam honed his skills here before taking his talents to Bay City, Michigan, where he practiced for the past two years.
Originally from Shelby Township, Michigan, sports and athletics have always been central to Dr. Sam's life. A four-sport athlete in high school, he continued his football career at Saginaw Valley State University, where he was first introduced to chiropractic care. After a neck injury threatened to sideline him for six weeks, chiropractic treatment helped him return to the field in just three weeks — an experience that reshaped his understanding of the body's resilience and potential for healing.
Dr. Sam completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. His background as an athlete, combined with his deep knowledge of human biomechanics and his passion for serving others, drives his approach to look at chiropractic from an active lens.
Dr. Sam firmly believes that movement is medicine: when you move well, you live well. He is committed to helping patients optimize their function, recover from injuries, and create an environment where the body can heal naturally and thrive.
Dr. Sam is a devoted follower of Jesus, and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. In his free time, he likes to stay active by working out, playing golf and basketball, and being outdoors.
